Speed Limited In Commercial Vehicles.....is It The Solution To Road Crashes ?? by skoriba: 9:16am On Oct 06, 2016
Speed Limiter in commercial vehicles!!
I was surprise to see a Speed Limiter installed by the FRSC in a bus this morning and I was wondering where we are heading to in this country.
The driver of the vehicle said the highest he can travel is 90km/hour and once the speedometer gets to 85km /hour , the vehicle will not exceed.
My question now are :

1. Is Speed the major cause of many crashes on our roads or the road itself?

2.Is this not another scam to syphon money from innocent Nigerians (#40,000) for a device?

3. Is there no way our Government can make the road ply able 1st before the implementation of this project?

4.Are we so sure that this drivers will not tamper with this device because even if you are going at 100km/hour from Lagos-Abuja (700km) it will take you 7hours but because of the bad road, no driver can get to Abuja in 10hours.

5. Add your own question so that our Government can do the needful. smiley wink

U have said it all. The FRSC is perpetually sucking Nigerians. From plate number change to another plate number change to drivers licences to yet another drivers licences and now to speed control devices all coming in thousands upon thousands. Thieves everywhere and with different uniforms
