In East Turkey, a 15-year-old girl identified as Derya B was reported dead after suffering from brain hemorrhage during child birth.
Derya B, a child bride forced into marriage at 14, has died after complications from childbirth, aged 15, in Turkey.
It was further reported that, the teenager was forced into an arranged marriage at the age of 14-years-old and quickly became pregnant. She was also married in a religious ceremony and gave up the ghost in a private hospital in Batman, East Turkey, on Sunday, October 17, due to complications relating to child birth.

However, the police are currently investigating what must have caused the death of the child bride. According to a gynecology expert Professor M.D. Aydan Biri, he disclosed that: “It is dangerous for a child bride to get pregnant as the mortality rate is higher in adolescent pregnancies.”
