TRUMP OR CLINTON: Who Is Better For Africa? by justFEARLESS(m): 3:04pm On Oct 19, 2016
The United State of America is undoubtedly the most powerful country in the world and most times events in the US tend to have impact in regions outside her territory; some will even say even outside earth's horizon. Therefore, global audience are keenly monitoring the race to the seat of the United State President that is viciously going on between the Democrats party Candidate, Hillary Clinton who was formally a Senator and the Secretary of State of the United State, and the GOP candidate, the billionaire real estate tycoon Donald Trump.

Campaigns and Debates and even kinky side allegations has not been missing in the buildup to the election as people from inside and out watch on as everything unfold as whoever emerge will take over from Barrack Obama and decide the fate of the United State and to a lesser extent, the world, for the next Four Years. From the Campaigns and Debates between this two contenders for the white house, it appears that none has the African agenda in mind; maybe Africa is not that important to them or maybe Africa is too small to be an issue to discuss...? Considering the fact that this two candidates are highly controversial and unpredictable figures, should we expect policies that will be anti-Africa from any of them that beats the other to the price?

Africa has seen the dark side of history. She was a victim of Slave trade and colonization; 'let's leave neocolonialism out of this'. This reduced the status of the black race to second class earthlings who were treated a little higher than common dogs and seen as a nuisance to the society good only for hard labor and psychopathic training. But ever since the independence of African states, African situation has taken an upward turn and this was symbolized by the emergence of Barack Obama, a man with African root, as the President of the United States in 2008. This could be coming to an end very soon as trump and Clinton has shown us through their words and actions that they are the limit of their racial tolerance.

Donald Trump the republican candidate publicly showed his disgust for Africans with his outburst in the rally of Wichita, Kansas, where he publicly declared that, "We need to get the Africans out. Not the blacks, the Africans. Especially the Nigerians. They're everywhere...." He maintained that African leaders are bad examples for leadership and recommended that the continent be recolonized again. " Look at African Countries like Nigeria or Kenya for instance, those people are stealing from their own government and go to invest the money in foreign Countries. From the government to opposition, they only qualify to be used as a case study whenever bad examples are required...... these are people who import everything including Matchsticks. In my opinion, most of these African Countries ought to be recolonized again for another one hundred years, because they know nothing about leadership and self governance" Trump stated. He referred to blacks as lazy fools, only good at eating, lovemaking and thuggery which further showed the world the side of him Blacks and Africans may see if he is elected.

Trump also hinted plans at jailing some sit-tight African leaders who have been ruling their countries for a long time (Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe and Yoweri Musevani of Uganda have topped the list). Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe,91, has been ruling Zimbabwe since 1980, while Museveni, 71, has been ruling Uganda since 1986. Though there are lines that reflected the naked truth in his words but African freedom and right may be seriously threatened by this man.

Clinton also, more than often, have been caught making hate speech directed at Blacks. As first lady, she called Black Men "Super Predators". Indicating that she thought all young black males were violent criminals. She also said, " We have to bring them to heel, " like young blacks are the same as Dogs" . Clinton, really, Dogs?

Trump claimed he would "halt immigration for Muslims and for people coming from areas of high instances of terror" and build a wall between the United States and Mexico and make the Mexican government pay for it. Oops! Hillary Clinton beat Trump to this. In 2005, Hillary said "I am adamantly against illegal immigrants''. She also as a Senator, voted to construct a wall between the US and Mexico. Considering the fact that Muslims are more than half of African population, this could just make all Africans to be pitched in the same cup (Both Muslims and Christian) and banned altogether from the United State. If you are doubting, look up again and see what both of them feels Mexico, their southern neighbor deserve and reconsider your stance.

Clinton even went beyond racist banter during 2008 democrats primaries when her campaign started the " Birther" rumors, questioning Obama's Citizenship. They even circulated the now famous picture of Obama in full Muslim garb. She seriously questioned Obama right to contest for the highest post in America, labeling him a "Common Kenya Man". Her husband Bill Clinton even when further by labeling Obama "A Coffee Boy" only worthy of fetching Coffee for them and up to today never apologize for making this statement.

Hillary Clinton personally moved the campaign that caused the killing of General Muammar Gaddafi. A decision Obama say is the ''Worst Mistake in his presidency'' but to Hillary, it's one of the deeds she labelled as ''Achievement''. In case you forgot, Gaddafi was overseeing the most richest economy in Africa before his Hillary backed assassination but look at what remains of Libya now. The Chaos in Libya had implications on her close neighbors and across region in West Africa as weapons used for the revolution found their ways across borders and was used by terrorist groups like North African AQIM, Malian Tuareg rebel and even by Nigeria terrorist group Boko Haram and the Humanitarian crisis that the Libyan revolution caused cannot be overemphasized.

Outside the shores of Africa, she was instrumental in the campaign that led to the ousting of Saddam Hussein and a keen supporter of the campaign to oust al Assad in Syria. Let me break it down for you, '' Iraqi campaign gave birth to Al Qaeda and the Syrian crisis gave birth to Islamic State'' the two most dangerous terrorist groups in the world. A review of the humanitarian crisis this caused; 'I wouldn't even dare it' , Millions of words can't express it. since it seems she has a knack for upsurging the leaders of countries, don't be surprised if your country kick start it if she emerge as the President.

However, it wouldn't be fair to end this without mentioning the Clinton Foundation in Africa. It has worked over the years to 'Support Educational Initiative and fight AIDS' in Africa, but is this enough to say that Hillary Clinton has a warm heart for Africa and will pursue policies that will favor Africa?

The African continent benefited from America during the Obama regime in ways which include;

* Strengthening Health systems through global Health Initiative.

* Supporting Democracy, Human Rights, and good governance to help government fight

Corruption, and expand Space for Civil society.

* Help Africa increase resilience to Climate Shocks by initiating programs that enlighten them

about Climate change and its hazard.

* Leading quick responses to humanitarian Crises to save lives and help prevent instability and loss.

* Education, Infrastructural development and economic development programs.

* Military support and counter-insurgent assistance and training to Military of African

Countries battling insurgency problems.

* Donation of Military Hardware to African countries in need of them for maintaining the

internal and external security of their country.

Whoever is elected will succeed President Barack Obama whose second time ends this years. Obama visited Subsaharan Africa four times, more than any other US president and initiated policies that is fairly good to the African Continent. Should we expect something less from whoever emerge in next month's election or maybe one of them may be the messiah of Africa?

Trump by far ...OP the article forgot mention how she destroyed Nigeria by funding and arming Boko Haram indirectly as a fallout out of the Murder of Gaddafi, we should not forget how she also refused of the Roland vaccine even though it was allowed to be used in some other places despite being in trial stage . ..all so we can't forget how under her and Obama they suddenly stopped buying Nigerian fuel without even tapering thereby by throwing our fragile economy into sudden troubles

Trump despises Africans, especially its leaders. How can you invest or send aids without contact with a country's leader. Trump will act with wanton recklessness.
Clinton may dislike African leaders as well, but she's diplomatic. Diplomacy is the crux of international relations.
So, Clinton.

Most of the statements made by Trump on Nigeria are true. He made mention of politicians stealing from the government, isn't that correct fellow Nairalanders ?

Infact it has gotten worst that the leaders in power are also collaborating to steal, so Trump all the way, he is controversial but realistic.

Please how does Trump hates Africans He's just being blunt with truth. We all wanted to be lied to, and that is what Clinton is doing; serpent under the gras.

Africans should wake up and stop waiting for Messiah. I cringed when I read the article credited to Reuben Abati. Such a shame!

Did not read.
Trump is my better candidate: abandoning Africa would make the continent sit up to its responsibilities. Too much aid and assistance is always given to the most simple problem we can otherwise think up solutions to; leaving us a continent of beggars. A United States president who steadily antagonizes African relations would hopefully give us enough shame to fix simple challenges with the hope of tackling bigger ones later on.

The fact that Trump is disinterested in what happens in Africa and hope to implement strict immigration policies should be seen as good not bad.

* it will afford Africa enough time to look inward and sustainably solve her problems by herself.

* his immigration policy will ultimately reduce the export of our gifted manpower overseas and by default help in sustaining our population, thereby increasing our consumption power whilst boosting quality production and chances of improving our home grown technology etc.

* his Muslims hate rhetoric will strain USA and the Middle east relationship, and ultimately drive the price of crude oil(Nigerians main export) and increase our competitive advantage for the crude oil market in the west.

* his plan to increase American production, will drive the cost of American goods, giving it competitive disadvantage, reducing the mad rush for foreign products due to higher prices and saving us huge forex demand and capital flight.whilst forcing us to look for alternatives inward.

Clinton is a traditional politician and will continue with the Political class' drive to manipulate other economies so they will continue with the planned American dominance and Dollar haegemony. The killing of Gaddafi, Saddam etc on my mind

Clinton.

It is very ignorant for Africans to support Trump. The guy is a NAZI. He actually has said his germanic roots and genes are superior. He does not give a shit for Blacks and it is pathetic for an African to fawn after someone who thinks they are below his dogs in evolution.

Trump cannot stop globalization.
All the problems in Africa are going to be solved 100per cent by Africans who have studied, lived and worked in the US and Europe so immigration policy will only slow it. I have set a time frame for this 2020 to 2040 will be Renaissance for Africa.

There are no inward solutions to African problems. It is just meaningless English. Everything starts from the mind. We are not developing minds in Africa. Please let us stop deceiving ourselves . Try to see things the way they are.

The problem with Trump is not just the parochial right wing politics and immigration policy. The man is lacking in intellect. See things the way they are, remember.

Trump did well for a time only by channelling " the great white male anger ' of age 35 to 70 white male Americans especially the WASPS. They see Indians doing well, low tech manufacturing jobs to Mexico, radical Islam recruiting their kids and they are over reacting. The latter problem of radical Islam is just a reaction to unbridled global capitalism and it's erosion of cultural and even spiritual values by the profit motive. It was bound to happen.

Please get this right because cluelessness is bad - there is no place for Black Africans in the world view of the " Angry White Male" . No single place. It is the same anger that is sustaining Putin in Russia.

I am sure if you followed the last G20 summit you would have noticed the reluctance of the western nations to push the globalization course, as China is the biggest beneficiary of that course.

Your claim of America and Europe education being the only hope for African development, amuses me. If you truely follow world trends you would have noticed the technological advancement in Asian countries. The west have for years been reluctant to open up in terms of technological transfers to the African countries.

The African economy and technology grew at a surprising rate with growing ties with China, while the economy of the west deepend? What does that tell you?

Africa is getting more democratic and yes our local technology is growing and will continue to grow.
African universities have seen a lot of modern and advance research come out of their campuses- green energy, military tech, advanced medicine, agro tech ....you name it.

i am surprised when People choose to live in that fictitious world of America and the west being the only hope for mankind.
You should open your mind and explore outside your immediate mental environment.

The truth is either both of them wins the election Americans are still bound to suffer at the end if everything both the white and African Americans. On Trumps interest their economy might grow but there will be war between America and other countries America has offended due to Trumps selfish reasons best known to him and also due to his level of racism which is going to really increase. One Clinton's side she knows why she's doing so many things for Africa because due to her history with African countries she has many bad past and a few good ones and also by the time offended countries face America for their revenge let's all note that a woman is not capable or stone enough in terms of military decisions not just the military decision but in some critical cases involving the lives of the Americans. And other president which she will be facing also are male who reason as men too and they will not see things the way she does. My point is both parties are unfit to be the president.
