How Barack Obama Divided America Racially And Destroyed Its Integrity - Opinion by Nobody: 5:40pm On Oct 21, 2016
Who else remembers the joyous celebrations all over the world when Barack Obama was elected President of the United States of America in November 2008? It was phenomenal: It marked the start of a new era for the black race. We'd come a long way: from being carried to the West Indies' as slaves, to the Civil Rights movement which birthed prominent names such as Martin Luther King Jr, Malcom X, Rosa Pars, etc to name a few, Barack Obama's victory at the polls seemed like we had finally fulfilled our collective dreams. A black man now presided over the most powerful country in the world. The future could not look any brighter.
Fastforward eight years letter and regretfully, I write this article, to show that nothing has changed. In fact, in some ways, things have gotten FAR worse. This isn't a squabble about how he has increased the national debt . . . neither am I interested in highlighting his 'achievements' in successfully managing the 2008 economic depression.
Sure, we cannot neglect the fact that there wasn't a formidable opposition. In fact, its because of this that people have been blinded to the actions of his government. Hes the only sitting president to be accused by the opposition of being an illegal alien muslim taliban spy leading the antichrist revolution controlled by the illuminati. That's ridiculous, to say the least, and highlights why its so easy to dismiss voices of opposition. However, if you look deeper, you'll see why his administration was so horrible.
I'm going to talk about two things in this article, so let's get right into it.

1. Terrorism and the Middle East:

Obama campaigned for the 2008 Presidential Elections under the pretense that he was putting an end to George Bush Jr.'s 'terrible' foreign policy. We all know that the invasion of Iraq was a terrible mistake and the Democratic party continuously hounded the Bush administration to admit this. The Bush administration made several attempts to clean up their mess, such as putting programs in place for promises of jobs and salaries for disbanded Iraqi soldiers and Sunni groups that co-operated with the US in getting rid of Al-Queda. However, Obama came in and messed everything up.
He and then Secretary of State Hilary Clinton bragged about how they would use "smart power" and how they "wouldn't do stupid stuff" but they were guilty of actions even more stupid than the one's they taunted the previous administration for. What's worse is that he refuses to recognise his errors. Obama took advantage of American war weariness without considering the situation on ground. He stuck to his determination to remove all US troops from Iraq. This could've been a good thing, if it had been done later. But Obama had no plans to stabilise the region.
Obama continuously claimed that Iraq was now a "sovereign, stable, and self reliant" state. Sure, free and fair elections were held in Iraq in 2010, by a moderate Sunni group. They received the people's votes and won the credible elections. However, the loser, Nouri al-Maliki, hijacked it all and seized power. What did Obama do? He looked the other way. You could say he wasn't interested in Iraq' fate, but it was more because he needed the co-operation of the Shiite muslims, who were in support of Maliki. Without the Shiite muslims, the terrible Iran nuclear deal couldn't have been possible.
This however, sent a message to the people that America had no interest in restabilising their region, and were only out for their own interests. Obama watched as Maliki refused to fulfill the promises of jobs and salaries for the disbanded soldiers as well. It made the citizens believe that their country was still a failed state, and they were still in the era of war. All of America's talks of propagating democracy and freedom around the world now turned out to be a big lie.
Even worse, Obama continued to endorse and back the Maliki administration despite them oppressing Sunni Muslims. Sunni leaders were driven from office, arrested, and even tortured. Shiite militants were permitted to freely commit arson, murder and rape in Sunni dominated areas with no consequences attached. You can read here to have an insight on the persecution of Sunni Muslims: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/article/in-their-own-words-sunnis-on-their-treatment-in-malikis-iraq/
Despite all this, Obama still referred to Maliki as a "Prime Minister with a commitment to a strong, inclusive, prosperous, democratic Iraq".
From all of this, you can guess where ISIS came from. And who created it.

2. How Obama divided America racially:

Obama continuously politicizes every tragedy to fit his political ideals. At the funeral service for five slain Dallas cops, Barack Obama delivered another one of his needlessly politicized lectures. As usual, those who were critical of his rhetoric were branded racists and unthinking haters. The Democratic Party and liberals have a way of forcing their opinions on you, and labeling you a bigot once you disagree with them. The diease called political correctness can be seen in modern day feminism, the gender issue, black lives matter, and so on. Obama as a black President had proven that people could get where they wanted if they worked hard irrespective of the color of their skin. Instead of continuously reminding America that things were better, he twisted every negative tragedy to 'bring people to his side'. Using them all as a platform to talk about his gun control ideals, 'oppresion of black people', and so on, making it an "Us Versus Them" issue every time.
He makes it seem like the issue of gun control, for example, isn’t a good-faith disagreement between people of different persuasions, but - like civil rights or suffrage — a struggle waged by the righteous against the evil. Personally, I am an advocate of gun control. But, he jumps on every opportunity to show the American people how anyone against that is terribly evil and should be condemned, continuously calling Democratic ideals, "American values".
Seemingly every political battle waged by the modern Democratic Party under Obama — gay rights, immigration, climate change, inequality - are all argued with the "I'm right, You're wrong" rhetoric, also going as far as to label people who dont agree with all kind of 'ists' - sexist, racist, misogynist and any other 'ist' you could think of. For example the transgender bathroom policy. Not everyone has come to terms with the idea of transgenders, yet, they forcefully use the media to shame anyone that disagrees. If I had a daughter, I would not want my little girl to use the same bathroom with a grown man that thinks he's a woman but still has his male genitals! Its just an issue that should be properly debated to reach a compromise from both sides, instead, the Democrats with Obama at the front try to force their opinions and attack anyone who disagrees.
Michelle Obama's "slaves in the white house" speech was a very divisive, terrible statement. As a First Lady, she should be looking towards the future instead of trying to provoke 'white guilt'. By making that statement, what did she hope to achieve? White people going around apologising for what their ancestors did 200 years ago? All she did was irritate a set of people who refuse to feel guilty for issues that America had moved on from, and continuously make Black Americans continue to feel oppressed! Instead of talking about slavery, she could do well to continuously remind people that black people now had equal opportunities and promote unity.
The media under him didn't help at all, blowing every police killing of black people out of proportion to support the Obama idea of 'oppression' and draw the nation 40 years back into the civil rights movement. Did you hear of the 15 year old unarmed white boy that was killed by the police at the same time as Sterling? How come only Sterling's went viral? Or the 60+ year old unarmed white man who was shot when trying to cross the street because police said he 'looked suspicious'. For an insight, check 'The Counted'. (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2015/jun/01/the-counted-police-killings-us-database#) You'll realise that there were MORE whites than blacks shot by the police this year, and how the media ignores other cases that don't suit the 'oppression' rhetoric. The BLM movement is a media puppet. This is another ploy that demonstrates how the media is used to draw attention away from the main problem, which is the POLICE, and turn it into a racially charged issue. Something that the President, Barack Obama endorses.
If you continually claim that every problem in America is driven by hate, people might start believing you. According to a new Pew Research Poll, Americans’ perception of race relations is more negative today than it has been in 20 years. Around 48 percent of those polled claim that “race relations are generally bad.” And 36 percent of adults say that “too much attention” is paid to race and racial issues today. Are things really worse today than they were 30 years ago? Fifty years?
When Obama calls for unity (you’ll recall this was a big part of his first campaign), he’s not talking about a nation that maximizes its freedom so that there is space for an array of cultural outlooks and ideas. He means a nation of diverse people who can all agree that progressivism/Democrat liberalism is right for the nation.
This administration has made a habit of using the power of the state to coerce and compel others to accept its cultural attitudes. For him, unity means little dissent. In his last State of the Union, for example, Obama laid out a progressive agenda, then implored us to embrace “American ideals” as if they were the same.
It became common to assume that Black people were all Democrats and Republicans were all evil.

Hilary Rodham Clinton is the continuation of Obama's administration. However, I reluctantly have to say that she is the best choice in the forthcoming elections. Despite WikiLeaks, despite her role in the creation of ISIS, despite Benghazi and so on.

Earlier in this article, I stated how there has been NO formidable opposition. The man called Donald Trump could be called a crazy business mogul. In my eyes, he's the human form of the suppressed anger of Republicans. He comprises of all those shut down by the liberals, combined with the craziest people in the Republican party. Mix all of that together and you have a Donald Trump. He feeds on the cries of both sane people who have recognised the same points I raised in this article, as well as extreme, ACTUAL racists and bigots who see this as a chance to crawl out of the woodwork. He has no manners or courtesy and is a representation of what happens when you cage and silence people for so long. They respond and fight back violently. However, putting a mad dog as the President of the United States can only breed more chaos. The crazy accusations and misplaced priorities such as questioning Obama's citizenship are all they have to offer.

If the Republican Party is serious about "Making America Great Again", they should rationally analyze everything that went wrong, and produce a meaningful opposition with something tangible to offer before their next chance, 2020 or 2024, because its difficult to unseat an incumbent President.

Feel free to criticise my opinion. But please keep it civil.
