Do you enjoy a healthy, well balanced lifestyle doing what you love? If no, this 6 steps will help you achieve a focused and balanced life. The 6 steps is in a unique system called B-ALERT!

“Every well built house started with a definite plan in the form of blue prints”- Napoleon Hill.

B – BLUEPRINT: A blueprint is simply a map for the day. It helps you prioritise. There are two options for preparing your blue print for the day. Either do it the night before or early in the morning before your day starts. You only need ten to fifteen minutes to do this. A well planned blueprint put you in control from the start giving you feeling of confidence and you are likely to accomplish more.

“The one thing that separates winners from losers is that winners take action”-Anyhony Robins

A – ACTION: The amount of action you put into your day will directly determine your score. Note that there is a major difference between being busy and taking specific well planned action. It is better to invest your time in what you do best.

“There are essentially two things that will make you wiser – the books you read and the people you meet”- Charles Tremendous Jones

L- LEARNING: Another feature of a well balanced life is taking time to expand your knowledge. This doesn’t require several hours of study. Develop the habit of reading at least twenty to thirty minutes in the morning. Be curious and be ready to learn. You can watch special documentaries, watch learning channels, discovery channels, use audio tapes, learn from your everyday experiences and learn from others.

“Having all the money in the world isn’t much good if you can hardly get out of bed in the money to enjoy it” – Author Unknown.

E – EXERCISE: A little daily exercise is an important prescription for you to create an excellent balance in your life. You don’t need to run marathons or work out in the gym for three hours everyday. About twenty minutes is all you need. You can have a brisk walk around the block, stretch your body, play a sport, do aerobics or jog

“Oh, to be free from the stifling pressure of life – to rest, a peaceful slumber that will rejuvenate my soul” – Les Hewitt

R – RELAXING: This is the time to recharge your batteries during the day. You can try what is called TPM – twenty-five peaceful minutes everyday. Consider relaxing to your favorite music or plan a complete break for twenty four hours. The important thing is to develop the habit of creating real time for total relaxation.

“If you realized how powerful your thoughts are, you would never think a negative thought”

T – THINKING: If you want to have unusual clarity about what is working and what is not, schedule time for reflective thinking. At the end of your workday or just before you go to bed, take a few minutes to have a mental snapshot of the day. Focus on the progress you made, shortcomings and the adjustments you need to make as tomorrow presents itself as another opportunity.

At first, the B-ALERT system for optimum balance may appear overwhelming, however, you will find out that the system doesn’t take a lot of time. You just need to be creative, you can even combine your exercise time with your learning time.
