A man who stole a bunch of plantain in a community in Abia State was stripped naked and paraded around the town with the stolen item tied around his neck.

The young man who was driven by poverty due to the harsh economic situation in the country was given a strange jungle justice he never expected after he was caught stealing.

According to reports, the man who is from Obohia village in Ukwa-East Local Government Area of Abia State was caught stealing a bunch of plantain and the residents of the community decided to teach him a lesson he would not forget in a hurry.

Eyewitnesses say the young man was stripped naked, beaten to a pulp and tied the bunch of plantain around huis neck and paraded him around the town for all to see.

the Economy is harsh and people are not smiling, he stole and is punished for it, you might say he only stole a bunch of plantain but what if the owner of the bunch of plantain has no other food to eat what will happen to the owner? Instead of stealing, he should beg for food.
