Young earth creationism is the belief that the earth and our universe was created in 6000 years. Old earth creationists are still thiests but they do not believe a literal six day creation. Now let us just say evolution is a lie that never happened. There are a lot of branches of science you'd still have to completely ignore to believe in a young earth and universe the main one basically is
- astronomy and starlight - well basically the speed of light is finite sooo it travels slower in the vacuum of space. If the universe was created in 6000 years the Andromeda galaxy shouldn't even exist. This is because it is about over 2 million light years away. A simpler example is the sun it takes 8 minutes for it's light to reach earth. Basically we are seeing the suns light how it was 8 minutes ago so we are never actually seeing it how it actually is To believe in a 6000 year old universe is to basically block out majority of light from the observable universe. So basically the universe can never be 6000 years old. Please if there's anybody that has that belief please stop. if you want to believe in a young earth that's fine but don't believe in a 6000 year old universe

Hi Jonbellion, You do remember the London Artifact ? It is an iron hammer, surrounded by a solid mass of cretaceous rock and seashells. The handle was partially PETRIFIED.

It was discovered in London, Texas. In the pic, notice the shiny spot on the metal part. The family who found the hammer filed the metal to see if it was really metal; the spot has not rusted yet, even though it has been about forty-five years. Is it really iron? A test was done on the metal. This hammer contains 96% iron, 2.6% chlorine, and 0.74% sulfur. There are no bubbles in it at all. Yes, it is iron. The quality of which equals or exceeds the quality of any iron made today. Now ask yourself, how does an obviously very old hammer get embedded into millions of years old cretaceous rock? The only answer is that cretaceous rock isn't that old at all.

The geologic column was invented by evolutionists to fit an imaginary timescale for the evolution of all life on Earth. The problem is it doesn't exist anywhere in the world except the text books.

If the column really existed, it would nearly 100 miles deep! The deepest fossils we find are about 1 to 1.5 miles deep. One of the deepest holes ever dug was only about 5 miles. So how do they get 100 miles of strata layers?

By assuming evolution has happened and putting the various layers of the sedimentary rock in an evolutionary order. Then they use the geologic column to prove evolution! That's called circular reasoning. Where in you use the assumption of something being true to prove it's true. It's the same as saying "evolution is true because evolution is true". This concept has been falsified (the column showing animals to be extinct) by what is called living fossils.

Even the proven expansion of the universe rips apart the claim of a young universe. The extremity of young universe would be visible in a telescope and the farthest galaxy would appear relatively close. The day and night would be as bright as the surface of stellar bodies.
