Basically, flat share or room share is a concept where you get to let out a room in your flat to an individual mostly on short term basis.

People visit Lagos regularly for business or pleasure and we all know that hotel prices are not smiling.

To get a good hotel in a decent location in Lagos, you need at least N7,000 a night.

Case study.

Tunde is a young graduate based in Ibadan and he has a job interview to attend in Lagos. All he needs is a place to sleep for a day or two.

If Tinde has an option to stay in a shared flat for a night at N2,500 daily. What do you think?

Benefits
A shared flat also provides some form of companion and the guest may even gain access to a kitchen.

Cheaper than a regular hotel.

Do you think this is a nice concept. Will you be willing to stay in a shared apartment as a guest ?

If you have a flat with some extra space can you let out a part of your apartment to a guest?

Already established worldwide.... called Airbnb... see Google. The same concept... home owners rent out rooms on short term basis.... payments made thru Airbnb. Some places have laws governing such operations since your home is not a hotel.

good idea, but Nigerians are generally bad people. They would steal your stuffs or gather sensitive information that could be used against you.
Idea is dead on arrival in Nigeria, especially in this Buhari regime.

Really, check crime section to know more. But it's a very nice idea if it works. It works in many countries and even where I am presently. One can rent a fully furnished apartment out for 1,2weeks or 1 month when he or she is going for vacation.
