What's the right thing to do, with a husband that allows his mom to make decisions for him in every area of his life, especially his marital life. His wife's point of view is nothing to him. What his people say is always final, their financial problem is always a serious one, but when it comes to anything that has to do with the wife, is always seen as waste of money. The issue of management will step in even though the wife is not working yet she just finished schooling preparing for service.

There's nothing much to do except for the wife too should get something doing so she can fund her lifestyle.
Waiting for service is not an excuse not to get a part time job.
If you're a good cook, you can look for families that the wives are too busy to cook for them. Make certain delicacies in packs and take round to offices e.g nkwobi, ofada stew with rice etc. Some people make snacks like chin chin, and take around offices.
You can even do babysitting or nanny jobs for people around your axis. You'll have your hours, resume 7am and close by 7pm.

Its just for a brief period, during service still continue your part time cooking/baking or whatever. You can always market it your colleagues at work.

Don't wait for any man to meet your needs as you will be disappointed.

We're all human.
