A LETTER BY AGBONMA JASON (APOSTLE) TO
THE NANS PRESIDENT COMR. KADIRI ARUNA

Good day our able president of the National association of Nigeria student's (NANS), I on
behalf of the whole 100l(freshers) want to quickly congratulate you as you celebrate your birthday, we pray you see many more years as God continues to strengthen you and bless you sir .. AMEN!
*
*
Sir, we also want to thank you for the struggle so far concerning the school fees reduction for
our students (Ambrose alli University) as we know you'll fight till finish just as you've done in
time past for other numerous Government institutions...
*
*
*
SIR,
With tears in my eyes , I plead on behalf of my fellow colleagues or more precisely, the freshers
(100level students) that we should be included in the fight.. No doubt everyone knows the present
economic state of the country as it's not news that we're in recession. We the" fresh men" as the name implies do not have anyone to run to , we have no one to fight or speak for us in this fees reduction struggle as the school's SKG has been dissolved... sir, we plead that you have pity on us as we cry out loud that the fees are exorbitant for us.. The school fees circular
released has it that students in MEDICINE (MBBS) are to pay the whopping sum of #164,300 and an acceptance fee of #75,000,
other fees such as concessional fees #10,000 hasn't been included yet, bank charges ain't included yet of which we know the fees will
surely be topped during payment in our various commercial banks and this applies to all departments..
*
*
As it appears now sir, no department pays below a hundred and ten thousand Naira (#110,000)
with the acceptance fee nad included..
A parent whose child was offered admission to study in AAU Did a rough estimation of what
she's to spend just for this first year and it ran almost into half a million (in this recession) with accommodation and other Dues calculated..for God's sake sire it's a state university and not a private University..
What of a parent having two children who God have blessed with admission this year,? it simply
means one will have to step down for the other or both drop and considering how difficult it is to secure an admission this days..
*
*
Please sir , we have no voice , we have no one to run to, we've heard about how you've conquered in time past and how you're winning
the battle already For the 200l students and that's why we've decided to come pleading on
behalf of other 100l colleagues that you please have pity on us and our "poor parents" and include us in the fight...
*
*
*
SIR,
We'll be Great full and excited if a circular is also released addressing the school fees /acceptance fee payment for 100l students just
as you did for the 200l students....
We pray this letter meets you well sir and our
plight is been looked into..
THANK YOU SIRE!
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONCE AGAIN !
YOURS FAITHFULLY

Feel u. The fees stuff is to the extreme. But is there body called NANS anymore? Is it the same body that'll jostle over money from government or unidentified sources? Wait, have anyone benefitted from their antics? Let's hope, just hope, that something positive can come up from their ends.
