An actress is demanding she get a tax break – because it costs her so much to look beautiful. the TV host and model Nora Danish, 34, reckons pretty people are at a disadvantage because they have to spend a lot of money maintaining their appearance and this should be reflected in how much tax they paid .

And she said especially when you became famous, celebrities had an obligation to appear attractive in public, and this cost a lot of money which currently was not tax-exempt.

She said: “For me and indeed for all of my Malaysian countrymen there is an obligation to pay taxes, but I would argue that celebrities should have some exemptions.

“In the modern day and age we have to pay more than ever to keep our appearances up, otherwise we would not have careers where we could earn money, and this should be something we could factor in as an occupational cost.”

The woman, who was once married to the first son of the former Speaker of the Malaysian

Parliament, Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib, said she had appealed for the Malaysian Inland Revenue Board (IRB) to consider her proposal.
She complained that it was an unnecessary burden on celebrities but she achieved little sympathy from the public, who said that plastic surgery, expensive makeup and designer clothes were a luxury and not a work necessity.
