Spanish archaeologists have discovered an ancient pharaonic mummy in a tomb near Luxor, a city on the east bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt. The ancient mummy is in very good condition, Egypt’s ministry of antiquities announced on Sunday. It was found near the “Mansion of Millions of Years” built by the 18th dynasty pharaoh, Tuthmosis III (1479-1425 BC), VON reports. The ministry, in a statement, said: “The very beautiful mummy, covered with a carton (layers of linen held by plaster, ed.) is in very good condition”. The statement also reported that the mummy was found in a brightly coloured wooden sculptural coffin in a tomb that could date from the third intermediate period (1075 to 664 BC).
