I received text message from Etisalat some days ago that its BB service is no longer available but I will continue to enjoy my current subscription till it expires.

I stopped using etisalat some months ago, stringy network.

Don't know about you but this is a heart breaking decision cause I will miss my compressed data

They couldn't even wait till WhatsApp end its support till the said date. Now that WhatsApp has extended its support till June 2017. I wonder what they would do next since. They just gave customers Opportunity to port away from their services.
