Why should any reasonable lady use cucumber for such thing, while there are better tools made for such acts.

I think carrot makes salad look more colourful. Cucumber had a dark green colour, and we know dark colours don't make things colourful.

well you're not wrong. But personally i prefer the dark shade of green mixed with other greens to a shouty orange colour that just makes my food look off a bit.

It's called individual differences. I love all things bright, shouty and colourful as dull looking things dampen my spirit.
