Waking up early in the morning every day of the week to prepare for work can be stressful and it takes its toll on the body, it’s even worse when you have to prepare both breakfast and lunch because you don’t want to spend on eateries and restaurants around your workplace. There is a way you can avoid the stress, spending and eating healthy at the same time. All you have to do is put together something that doesn’t take time, doesn’t cost much and also good for your health.

Here are some lunch ideas that comes cheap, healthy and not time-consuming.

Salads: Salads are healthy because of the combination of vegetables that goes into mixing it, they are also easy to make and can be made and stored in the fridge 2-3 days before you need it and it doesn’t consume time at all. You can always switch it up too because there are various types of salads such as tuna salad, fruit salad, Caesar salad, chicken club salad and so on.

Yam Fries and Sauce: Fried yam served with either tomato sauce or spicy sauce garnished with fish or beef. Yam fries takes little time to prepare and it serves as a balanced diet because of the sauce.

Plantain and Sauce: You can choose to either fry or boil the plantain and serve with either tomato sauce or spicy sauce. Boiled or fried plantain takes little time to prepare.

Sandwich: A sandwich is the easiest food to whip up in a short time. You can choose to toast, grill or make it with simple bread. It also has a lot of spreads you can make it with such as butter, jam, Nutella, peanut butter or you could choose to make a tuna/beef/egg sandwich. To make a sandwich more fit for the body, you choose to mix vegetables like lettuce and tomato or just go naija style and make a simple toast bread.

Yamarita: Is another style of fried yam but it is mixed in raw egg and flour before frying and it could also be served with tomato sauce or spicy sauce. Yamarita takes little time to prepare.
