Nollywwod's Blunders On Legal Practice. by saworoide: 3:33pm On Nov 04, 2009 |
I have watched a few Nollywood movies where a man would be the presiding judge in a case involving his own son. There was one last sunday (I've forgotten the title) where a female judge had to sentence her only daughter (Ini Edo) to life in jail for murder. My daughter (7 yrs old) asked me if I can allow her mother (a lawyer) to the same with my child and I struggled for a response. Lawyers in the house, does Nigeria judicial system allow a person to be a judge in cases involving close relatives and family members like son, daughter etc or is this just one of the many blunders being dished out routinely by Nollywood? |
