This is like the 4th time I am seeing such in Anambra State. Most times, these killers are foreigners and not indigenes. The Anambra people have lived in peace with the Eke (Python) for ages. Just a few months back at Oba junction, I saw a dead python strung up on a stick for sale on the highway and I was wondering if the law against killing of pythons in Anambra STATE had been lifted.

This has got to stop.
that's if its eke idemili wch is harmless, and doesn't come out often. U kill eke idemili u must bury it. Eke ogba is different.

In these Ibo communities, where eke idemili is revered, I have not heard that, it once bite or kill a human being even a kid who is a native.

Maybe a stranger, who tried to kill it.
yes eke idemili can neva harm a native bt seeing it can scare the hell out of u--lol.

It's not really about Lala, one thing I discover on Nairaland so far is that once a thread is titled 'SNAKE' it automaticaly move itself to FP. Maybe, there's a robot in charge of that...

My brother, the ignorance is what is killing us, the python is actually harmless and non venomous, you will struggle to find anyone killed by a python, if only our people know.. If na puff adder, then that's a different story.. so so sad. Me I don tire, country wey people dey get mind burn another human, killing wildlife na small issue..
I am not Igbo but from my knowledge, I know it's the ball python also known as royal python that is sacred, they don't harm and are very docile also they don't grow big at all , highest they grow is 5 feet which is small for a python. This one in this picture here is a beast, 14 feet !!! this one would comfortably swallow anybody below 5 feet 7 inches.( young adults and children). This one would comfortably strangle an adult. That one is an African rock python not royal python, very very dangerous type of python.

From all indication seems its not eke idrmili ( the one no one suppose to kill) but eke ogba ( can be killed) . happening now. Men are pricing it already. Killed by a hunter.
If na eke idemili then igwe Obosi should immediately move in and give an order for the burial by the killer.
