Being trying to get past this aptitude since my young one brought it down!!! Is there anybody that can help decipher the code pls??

The pattern I deduced is as follows:
Add the two numbers at the top and subtract 3 from their sum to get the value for the number below.

then your equation will be like, a + b - c = 3
now, let us test this for the given sample..

Sample 1,
remember, a + b - c = 3,
therefore, 2 + 4 - 3 = 6 - 3 = 3......checked!

Sample 2,
remember, a + b - c = 3,
therefore, 7 + 2 - 6 = 9 - 6 = 3......checked!

Sample 3,
remember, a + b - c = 3,
therefore, 1 + 3 - 1 = 4 - 1 = 3......checked!
