The U-17 TEAM (all those who are of different opinion can take the day off ) a.k.a The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria head to the southern coastal city of Calabar on 9 November for their quarter-final clash against Korea Republic at the U.J. Esuene Stadium. The encounter is bound to be an intriguing clash of styles and football cultures when the fast-moving, team-oriented Koreans take on the improvisational and technically gifted Golden Eaglets. Do you know that Korea is undefeated against Nigeria at any level of the competition? The game Korea Republic-Nigeria, Calabar, Monday 9 November 2009, 19:00 (local time). |

Okoro: Best is yet to come Korea Republic's players looked a little bemused to see throngs of local fans lining the fence at their late-afternoon training session on Saturday. The lively Asians have made many friends with their dynamic play here in Nigeria, but the size of the crowd seemed somehow incongruous. As the team, going through a light stretch, eyed the hundreds-strong mob quizzically, a blaring siren was heard in the distance. The Nigerian team bus, led by a noisy police escort, pulled through the gates at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, and the crowd went into frenzy. There were no eyes at all left on the young Taeguk Warriors as the locals crowded the giant vehicle, blowing whistles and plastic horns, and shouting out to their favourite players as they stepped off one by one. http://www.fifa.com/u17worldcup/news/newsid=1130144.html#okoro+best+come

Okoro's 'special place' "Calabar is a special place," says Stanley Okoro, one of Nigeria's true stars at these world finals, taking a break from the session and the ever-watchful eye of coach John Obuh. "I spent four years here and just look at what the fans are doing and the love they are showing us. It's incredible." Okoro, with two goals so far, has been an absolute gem in an advanced midfield position, helping the host Nigerians to the quarter-finals with a smashing performance in the 5-0 defeat of New Zealand in the round of 16. Originally from Edo State, Okoro moved to Calabar when he was young Victor's age to study his football at the very same Youth Academy, a premier destination for aspiring Nigerian footballers. http://www.fifa.com/u17worldcup/news/newsid=1130144.html#okoro+best+come |

Please: Dont go to any stadium with your car if you dont have good security device or tracker or consider watching free game and lossing your car. It happens in Abuja 4 cars missing in eaglet game and another 4 missing in eagles game against Tunisia. Come see where Big guys dey cry whooping tears after discovering they are car-less, taking drop back home. What will you tell your jeolous neighbors |

Re: Korea Republic Vs Nigeria U-17: [1 - 3] by FBS: 8:10am On Nov 09, 2009 |
princekevo:Thanks Princekevo. We have no one else but US. We have to learn to support our own. Hopefully the boys will do us proud today. Ama-G:hehehe. All coaches have their different styles. That's his. He only smiles when we get a goal and you can see the boys always make it a point of duty to celebrate with him. That speaks volume. |

sayso:Sharrap there, people like you will go anywhere in life because you will always bring negativity in any situation. If you have any test more accurate than a 95% MRI scan, test the boys or else Bleep off this thread. What have you ever done for Nigeria that gives you the moral right to condemn these boys who had barely six months to reorganize their act after 15 of thier team members were sent away. Nonesense |

when i look at the vote i laugh hard? anyway i have just voted for Nigeria to proceed to the finals this is just normal cos we must support and fight for our own no matter what, the Koreans are not going to be an easy ride for us but with God on our side no Goliath can be against us, as for all of you calling our Dearest Super Eagles (Golden Eaglets) under 30, na una sabi as far as i am concerned they are worthy of commendation and they don't look 30 to me and even if they are under 40 who cares, Go Eaglets! Go Nigeria!! Go Africa!!! |
Re: Korea Republic Vs Nigeria U-17: [1 - 3] by AmaG2(m): 11:03am On Nov 09, 2009 |
