Life is worth living and worthless!!!
To lucky ones its the former but that's not the case with Daniel. The young lad was a product of sexual harassment experienced by Victoria, her mother when she was 16.

Dan's mother Viki as she's called by friends and relatives was born by a sick mother who chose to save her daughter's life which cost her own life. She grew up under the guidance of his old father and wicked step mother.

When she was 16, she went to farm but was raped by unknown hunter, she came back kept it by herself but after four months of the ugly incident, it was known to all that she was double. Mabel never loved her that much to take him in and she was put up to sale to any interested suitor.

Viki's father couldn't do much because he was mentally unstable which was caused by the tragic death of his first wife. Even Mabel his second wife was not chosen by him directly, she was brought into the family by relatives with the major purpose of taking care of her lunatic husband. So Mabel forced the marriage of Victoria to an old man known as Robinson who is suffering from cancer. Robinson married Viki for the fact that male child eludes him even if he knows that he won't b able to carry out his marital duties on her young wifey. Pa Robinson also has four married daughters, they dont support their father's ministry of marrying another wife at 80s, this made them not to care much about newly married step mother of theirs.

And after further months, Victoria put to bed, a wonderful black handsome boy; His name is Daniel

The joy of the new born kid brought peace of mind and hope for future to the mother, dream comes true for Robinson and anger to half sisters. Pa Rob is known for being a man of his words who does care not much for inputs of others whenever he had decided on missions. Tho his daughter wasn't on his side taking another wife, he cares not, his sole aim was to see a male in his family, a boy to carry on his name, a boy to call him father, a boy and a boy, nothing more. He cares not who is the father biologically, only a male child bearing his name.

Few months after the joyous event, Rob passed away.
There were awkward belief by his jealous daughters who from the sunrise does not support their father from marrying Viki whose her unborn child's real father was unknown had brought this negative blessing to their father. They planned to threw little Dan and his mother out of the but due to faulty reviews they might get from public, they decide to keep cool,withdrew their helps from the family since pa has given up.

After Rob's burial and seen how the family was in fragments, Viki chose to work harder in other to guide her son, her hope, her everything towards the best possible may.
Having learnt farming since she was kid, she started subsistence farm.

A year and fews months, Dan had grown to a strong little boy,full of potentials at sight, he was sent to school by his caring mother who hopes for better future.

The worst has gone, future looks so promising, little farm of hers was in great form at least, but looking aback it was really painful, not worth remembering, Sometimes she felt lonely, she wished if her mother is there for her, she wished if her father is sane,she wished if her step mother has children, maybe they would be better than their mother and she would have someone to call a brother,a sister, in all life looks frustrating!

Dan is not up to two years, one day, Viki brought him to school before going to the farm, her regular work place, she was overwhelmed with Joy as she found out that her tomatoes had ripe, she harvested it and took the market, though it isn't that much but it can feed her and Dan for some days, luckily for her, its still in early stage of rainy season and crops are largely scarce.
She made little money on selling it, its now noon, she rushed to get her son from school. On her way home, there were crowd gathered at road side, many were shaking their heads in sympathy, going nearer alas! Her darling father was on floor, no one knows what happened, tears rain down her cheek, everywhere looks upside down, he's dead she thought, she bent down down, touch him, he's full of life but weak, very weak.

Thanks to her farm, the product she sold, she can take care of her father and child, she knows its her responsibility. Her step mother is no where to find, she's flexing all around.
Since all burden are Now rested on his young shoulder, she's is not up to 20, but she's carrying a huge load a 30 year old can't take comfortably, no husband, no siblings, ill father, motherless, her only hope is Dan.

Oneday she believes, her sufferings will make a good story
