Which agency(ies) certified this vehicle fit on the Lagos road? Expired and old tyres, failing (faulty) break lines, carbon emitting engine, poor visibility windshield, little or no rear and sides mirrors, unqualified driver and conductors, least to say the passenger(s). The list continues. Why should we all blame the government, institutions and infrastructures. sad

Sad seeing all these accidents when we humans (black race) are architect of self destruction. I pray no life was lost.

Saw the aftermath... I'd be very surprised if there was no loss of life. (a good thing tho) It didn't look pretty at all.
I wonder what caused it.

It's the government that should ensure that these vehicles are off the road. They're rather concerned with the pocket change they're getting from the drivers.
In Norway (100% sure) old vehicles are recycled and the owners are paid enough to get a more road worthy one..even if it's not new. Will the nigerian government even consider doing that?? Maybe when pigs start flying.

DeLioncourt, what i was driving at is that we should be able to do the basic things as human. For example i had a little issue with my car, two day ago, i parked the car at office and waited for it to be fixed by the mechanic last night. Our ideology in this country is why should we fix it when it is not broken.

I get your point.
I interact with some of these drivers and conductors...when you hear what they go through... the amount of money they funnel out as bribes and security fees, loading and offloading fee... you wonder how they manage to eat. They are extorted by the very people supposed to ensure safe road use, directly or indirectly.
People wonder why they drink and smoke all that strong stuff. But you can't get by in their world by being diplomatic.
That's why they have the mentality of not fixing until the thing is beyond broken sef... its because they can't.

IMPORTANT WARNING
Please, beware of dangers and beware of strangers asking for directions or questions.
Some of them are kidnappers for ritual cultists.

TRUST NOBODY
Don't escort anyone to anywhere to visit anybody you don't know very well.
CAUTION.
Beware of agents of evil doers looking for dumb people to use for human rituals.
Warn members of your family, relations and friends.

If you are traveling by road and the driver is over speeding, wisely tell him you are pressed to urinate and that will make him to slow down and stop. Use the time to pray for safety and warn of the dangers of over speeding.

AVOID DRIVERS YOU NOTICE DRINKING ALCOHOL.
AVOID LATE JOURNEYS AND NIGHT TRAVEL.

Be safe!
Stay alive for the Glory of God. Amen.

Pass on and share this warning.
Why are you praying against death sef? Don't you want to go to heaven on time to enjoy?
