A message is currently being passed on social media warning persons not to eat a cream-filled biscuit called Jack and Jill (popularly known as Lausanne) because it allegedly contains an unmentioned poisonous chemical which has already claimed the lives of 45 people. This story is completely false and is an apparent hoax intended to destroy the reputation of the brand. A very similar tale has been made before against a biscuit brand called Crunchies (please visit the link below). Please do not rebroadcast or share this message as you could inadvertently be taking part in an elaborate scheme by competitors to destroy the reputation of a brand. Always confirm any warning message you receive on social media before sharing to your contacts.
