Ghana President Admits Defeat In Poll - BBC by Nairadays: 9:49pm On Dec 09, 2016 |
Ghana's President John Mahama concedes victory to opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo, ruling NDC party says. There seems to be a change blowing across Africa with so many incumbents conceding defeat. They're following the footsteps of our dear former President Goodluck Jonathan. Source: http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-38270956 CC: lalasticlala More to follow. 1 Like |

John Dramani Mahama, Ghanian version of Goodluck Jonathan in national polical fate! From Vice President to President succeeding his dead boss and going on to win presidential election. Eventually, he lost to a man contesting since 2008. |

See all of them shouting GEJ! But I've not seen where John Dramani Mahama was told to call his opponent, Nana Akufo-Addo, to conceed defeat to him. To set the record straight on this dispensation's "politicosphere" of the continent straddling the topics, Africa, Rupiah Bwezani Banda of Zambia should be applauded for conceding defeat to the opposition, setting the blaze in 2011 and less to Goodluck Jonathan. Incidentally, Rupiah Bwezani Banda, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and John Dramani Mahama all got to the post almost the same way, succeeding their bosses, winning their first election aftermath and losing to opposition sequentially! 1 Like |

this current 21st century its hard to win second term as a President. people are very quick to dislike their leaders. a good leader should know when to remain in power and when to leave. rather than been disgrace out from power. Its like an entertainer, all entertainer knows when to leave the podium or stage its is exactly when the audience is high. if they misuse that chance they will be boo out from stage. example is mandala. if mandala should have remain in power for a long time it would have gotten to a point were they all would dislike him and booted him out. buhari should learn |

True! Both won sympathy votes to succeed their dead principals and were desperate to remain in power before conceeding. Tolexander: |
