After what may seem like a horrendous 2016 for Samsung, Rumors have it that Samsung is set to storm the tech-galaxy with a new device — The Galaxy S8 (Tentatively).
The following features will leave you sitting at the edge of your seat. However, take this with a pinch of salt as they are just rumors.

TWO VARIANTS (5.7 INCH AND 6.2 INCH)
Samsung will continue the trend of releasing two variants of the 'S' series just like the S7.
A report from Korea Herald revealed that one of the S8 variant will sport a 5.7-inch Ultra High Definition display "4K (2,160 x 3,840)", and the other, a 6.2-inch display.

DUAL REAR CAMERA
The S8 is tipped to feature a dual-lens camera module. The dual-lens technology was featured in Huawei's recently launched flagship device - Huawei P9 and Apple's iPhone 7 plus.

AUTO FOCUS FRONT-FACING CAMERA
A report by EtNews Revealed that Samsung will introduce an encoder-type Auto-Focus actuator to the front camera of Galaxy S8.

ABSENCE OF A PHYSICAL HOME BUTTON
Samsung may likely do away with the iconic physical home button in the Galaxy S8. According to a teasing video, The fingerprint scanner will be embedded underneath the glass display.

AMAZING SCREEN-TO-BODY RATIO
With the absence of a physical home button, the Galaxy S8 will sport a seamless screen-to-body ratio up to 90% or more. This will give great comfort when handling and operating the device.

NEW AND POWERFUL PROCESSORS
According to reports, the Galaxy S8 will have two processor variants, Samsung’s Exynos 8895 and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830.

LARGER RAM
Samsung will raise the numbers up a bit in the RAM department. The Galaxy S8 will come equipped with a whooping 6 GB of RAM.

LARGER STORAGE
The internal storage of the Galaxy S8 will also be increased to 256 GB. There might be options for smaller capacity ranging from 64GB to 128GB.

NO AUDIO JACK
Samsung will follow Apple's lead to omit the 3.5mm jack port in the Galaxy S8. A new trend we should expect from most smartphone manufacturers in 2017 and beyond.

USB TYPE-C
The Galaxy s8 will definitely feature a USB type-c port. A technology that is fast becoming a standard feature in the latest crop of devices.

HARMAN SPEAKERS
Recently, Samsung acquired Harman - An audio and auto giant company for $8 billion. We should expect the S8 to come equipped with Harman speakers.

NEW SAMSUNG ASSISTANCE
Not too long ago, Samsung confirmed the acquisition of Viv, which had originally worked on Apple's Siri. Galaxy S8 will officially feature Samsung's new AI, the Viv. Which will pose as a stern competitor to Google Assistant and Siri.

INGRESS PROTECTION RATING (IP68)
Samsung will likely make the S8 to be completely dustproof and waterproof just like the Galaxy S7 edge.
