Actually it simulates shooting into the air, like they do in some west African cultures when theres a victory or some kind of celebration, Igbo people still do that.

Notice how 70% of these so called London slangs are Jamaican or Caribbean, yet Nigerians are just a few under their number, but we have imposed 0% of our culture anywhere. grin

The funny thing about this thread is that there are about 3 words that are actually real UK slangs and the rest are either Jamaican or American.
