Commendable for a city that majority are basically and chronically deprived. This is about the same rate of violent crimes and murders that happens in places like Chicago every week.

Lagos population is arguably 16 million, with 246 recorded murders.

State of California, population 38 million, 2142 reported murders.

California has almost 2.5x the population of Lagos, but almost 9x the murders. Lagos is statistically safer than the richest country in the world.

i bet Out of 100% of the people who committed the crime, 65% will be non indigenes of Lagos and will not be Yoruba. Out of that 65%, Hausa might be 15%, Tribes in the SS region might be 8% then the percentage must have been committed by the Lost tribe.
