The story of Jalsa Salana dates back to 1891, when the founder of the reform movement, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam, Ahmad Qadiani (as), proclaimed Jalsa Salana for the first time in Qadian (India). At that time, 75 members of the community took part. Since then the Jalsa Salana has firmly established itself in many countries of the world. For example, more than 200,000 visitors took part in the last Jalsa Salanain Pakistan,
1983.
