I was thinking if is because of recession that made thing we produce locally to more expensive, because it beat my immergination to see things like local rice, yam, oil, beans, pepper, melon, ogbolo, vegetable leaf, kpomo, beef, native fowl, etc, to more expensive, hence we are not importing these items, it shouldn't be expensive. It is the exchange rate between dollars and naira that made imported items to skyrocketed.
