Hello nairalanders, as this recession bites harder, I want ur opinions on which method of cooking is cheaper. Is it cooking with gas or relying on electricity considering what Discos now charge per KWh of electricity usage.

Gas is cheaper. ..especially if you use pre-paid meter on your electricity supply line.

Gas is much cheaper, especially with pre paid meter. But if you are a tenant and you stay in a house where the landlord collects a particular amount of money every year/ month for electricity, whether you use light or not then you can consider electricity

Thanks alot everyone, am sure now that I don't need to switch over to electricity since I'll be getting prepaid meter very soon. I live in a neighborhood where we are charged on estimated billing, so whatever I use or don't use doesn't count but I plan on getting prepared meter soon because I believe am being overcharged but the cooking aspect has been what am not sure of.
