The ocean makes more sense given that the ocean naturally clears it.

As opposed to the bringing back inland, where they'll have to use specialised equipment, the same as when clearing drainage systems etc. Cost for that are too high.

At all, but i think the largest of the carriers is the Nimitz with 1,092ft compared to HOS with 1,188ft.
