Few months ago One Plus launched another of its low budget high end smartphones the One plus 3T which still retains the $400 dollar budget featured in its predecessor the One plus 3.

Also few days ago Gionee launched what is regarded as their most expensive smart phone since its inception. Gionee M2017 is gionee's latest high end device which features the biggest battery so far from its marathon series, a 7000MAH battery.
Gionee M2017 costs $1007 for its standard version and One plus 3T costs $400.
Can a $400 smartphone measure up to a smartphone which costs $1007 Below is a quick review of the specs on both phones. For the purpose of this comparison I am going to be reference to the standard version of both devices.

GIONEE M2017


Gionee M2017 is indeed a very beautiful phone, OK not so beautiful but it features a leather covering on the back and metal strips at the top and bottom, together with a curved edge display. Moving straight to its specifications;

Display: 5.7 inch curved edged Super Amoled Quad HD display with a 2560x1440 resolution

Ram: 6GB LPDDR3

Battery: 7000MAH

Rear cameras: 12MP and 13MP with up to 2X optical zoom

Front facing camera: 8MP

Processor: Octa-core snap Dragon 653 processor: 4arm cortex A72 CPUs running at

1.95GHz and 4 A53 CPUs running at 1.44GHz

Operating system: Android 6.0 marshmallow.

ONE PLUS 3T

One plus 3T was made with an all metal unibody design featuring visible antenna bands and a camera bump on the back.
Specifications;

Ram: 6GB LPDDR4

Battery: Non-removable 3,400mAh, Dash Charge (5V 4A)

Beginning with its display Gionee's M2017 is 0.2 inch bigger than the One Plus 3T. Gionee M2017 features a curved edge screen which is not the case on the One Plus 3T.
The ram featured on the One Plus 3T is a 6GB LPDDR4 were as a 6GB LPDDR3 ram is featured on the GIONEE M2017. You are not actually going to notice the difference in both ram types but the One Plus 3T has a faster 6GB ram.

Gionee M2017 features 2 rear cameras 13MP and 12MP And An 8MP front shooter, One Plus 3 features a single 16 MP rear camera and a 16MP front facing camera.
One plus 3T is packed with a more powerful snap dragon 821 processor where as Gionee featured a snap Dragon 653 processor in its M2017 device, with a device having such high end specs it won't cost gionee anything to feature a snap dragon 821 chip in its M2017 but gionee didn't just do it.

Gionee M2017 features two 3500 mah batteries which sum up to a 7000MAH battery. Mean while One Plus 3T features a 3400mah battery. Both devices feature quick charge, but you are going to get a faster charge on the One plus 3T due to the fact that One plus 3T comes with a 5V 4A charger which is supposed to charge its 3400 MAH battery which is smaller than one of the batteries featured on Gionee M2017.

Talking about GPU power, One Plus 3T doesn't feature an Edge screen but it has an edge over Gionee's[ M2017 owing to the fact that it features Andreno 530 whereas M2017 features an Andreno 510 GPU.

Talking about prestige, The price tag placed on the Gionee M2017 and its design makes this device a symbol of status.

I believe the ONE PLUS 3T is a good suggestion for tech consumers

Only a Big, Fat Fool would buy that Gionee M2017.
