On Wednesday, December 28, a woman who is believed to be the ‘oldest mother’ in the world and in China, just welcomed her second baby boy through a Cesarean section after she lost her only child years back.

The woman had a C-section on her due date, which went smoothly. Although the woman was completely exhausted after delivery but the doctor in charge, Teng Hong said the woman was the oldest she had accepted as a patient and may be the oldest across the country so far.

The doctor said: “I was really moved at the moment, and my nerves, which were tense for months, were eventually stretched."

It was also gathered that the woman who is from Changchun, capital of North China’s Jilin Province in China had reportedly experienced amenorrhea for more than 10 years. She also suffered from complications during the pregnancy, including gestational diabetes when she was 28 weeks pregnant. She was impregnated by artificial insemination.

Both mother and son were said to be doing well at the Second Hospital of Jilin University.
