Dear Nairalanders, my brother who just came back from the U.K with his friend for the friend's marriage introduction has been appointed to be a spokesman (talking on behalf of the friend) for the ceremony. All his efforts to decline the offer has been rebuffed as he has been convinced that it is to be done in English language and that there is really nothing to it; he is just to stand and declare the intent of the visitation (how a flower was found in the compound of prospective inlaws, etc) and that everything else would flow from there; but he is still scared and afraid of failure, since he has not done such before and moreover, the girl in question is Urhobo; he is Ibo. He does not understand their language, how much more the culture. Can anyone versed in these things help please?
PS: The ceremony is on 6th January this year (i.e. this Friday). Urgent response needed, please.
