Excellent points

And come to think of it, uncooked rice is show a fairly good desiccant. I've always observed it but never knew it's this popular known. Cool story cheesy

Bros uncooked rice is a very bad remedy. It leaves a solution on the motherboard that can.easily cause corrosion.

But dont take my word for it. Just check it up

The first thing you do when your phone gets wet is: REMOVE THE BATTERY IMMEDIATELY!

Remove the SIM CARDS and MEMORY CARD.

Dry off the battery and the phone with tissue paper or similar.

Get out all the water you can.

It is very important whether the water was fresh or salty.

If it was salt water, you should have to clean it away with fresh water, then dry it all over again.

Do not try to dry the phone by laying it out in the Sun!

Do not try putting the battery back in, and turning it on, "to see whether it still works."

Forget that this thing is a phone for the next several days!

Having shaken and swabbed out all the water you can, shove it deep into a bag of rice, and leave it there for a week.

I personally recommend that you wrap it in some thin cloth, to prevent dust or insects getting into it.

DRY, UNCOOKED RICE ABSORBS MOISTURE SLOWLY.

It should still be edible, afterward- unless your phone fell in something toxic.

What if it falls inside beer? Would it be OK to just suck it out?

It would not.

Beer contains Alcohol, which may dissolve toxic substances from the innards or body of the phone.

You may also have to rinse out the beer.

OF COURSE it will leave a residue- therefore, you cannot let the rice come in direct contact with the circuitry.

The phove should be wrapped in something permeable.

4 Easy Way To Revive & Save A Wet Phone

Phones usually slip out of our hands or pockets dropping on the ground, wet floor or even in a bowl of water from time to time or you could decide to jump in the pool forgetting that your mobile phone is still in your pocket.

There is still hope that the phone is not totally damaged. Try out these tips immediately you remove the phone from water, it wouldn’t cost you a dime.

Steps To Revive a Wet Phone
1. Do not turn back on your phone right away (keep it off until you know it’s totally dry or if phone is still on immediately take off the battery)

2. Remove all peripherals from the device (back cover, case, battery, headphones and any other removable gadget)

3. Use a vacuum (vacuum round the device. Try to get as much of the water out of it as possible)

4. Use a substance with a high affinity for drawing out moisture (An inexpensive option is to place the phone in a bowl or bag of uncooked rice or desiccant “usually found with new shoes” for at least 24hrs or just cover the phone in towels).
