Nonsense post. So what can introverts do then. Stupid thought. An introvert can't do business, become a doctor, be an actor or actress, be politician and so on according to ur thought so what can they do then. Mtsweeeh

@OP this is very ridiculous and stupid who says that being an introvert makes it impossible to succeed in any of these things . Am an introvert and over 10 years and counting am I have been running a business and its a very successful one. You say an introvert cant make a good doctor . let me tell you medicine is the best career choice for an introvert because he or she will connect and empathise with his or her patients. The Extroverts we have as doctors are the ones who make a mess of public hospitals with their rude attitude and the fact that they seem to show less concern towards their patients. Don't joke with an introvert because he or she can show you the best and great qualities of themselves when they need to . Being an introvert doesn't make you less of a human being or doesn't make you less successful . I know many introverts who have succeeded in all these career and are still rocking .
bro you not entirely an introvert or you don't even know who you are. no need for name calling no one is fighting with you.

@ Op I am an introvert and i can do some of this things you listed if not all of them.. change is a constant thing in life you can't just hide in the shadow of an introvert and say things . i know talk is cheap but if you put your mind to anything in life you shall surely succeed.
at a point in life you'll have to be an extrovert . . come out of your shall and do what u haven't done before. #peace
it's either you are a blend of both or you are lying about doing all of them.

someone already said this before and it's worth repeating: introverted does not equal antisocial. if you're so "introverted" that you cannot do any of these jobs at all, then even your daily life will suffer and your quality of life Will be lower than it should be.

I like the list, though.
so introverts are social? first to initiate convos? like to be in crowd?

Most of ur list re lies except politics somehow, most introverts hv high iQ and they also hv good sense of humor, so they are good in business, marketing, medicine, teaching.
I am Proudly an Introvert, We re the type of people that like sitting at the back row in a class or lecture hall, itz only that we hate social activities like parties, birthdays etc.
Note: Most RnB musicians re introverts, Most fine and applied artist re introverts, Most Mathematicians and Scientists are introverts, most poets, novelists re introverts.
We keep few friends and we re honest, we get easily irritated though with extroverts' excesses.
ACTING =introverts re good in acting EXCEPT comedy.

MARKETING =introverts hv innovative ideas on hw to package a product, bc most introverts re fine artist, they know how to chose an attractive colour/packaging to get the attention of customers coupled with their good sense of humor, An Extrovert Can't work in an MTN customer service, bc they re mostly temperamental.
Introverts bends down to Explain to a customer, make review, answer all questions with humor.

MEDICINE =Introverts hv High iQ with good Sense of humor and they are the most careful and ingenious set of people, Medicine z their hobby.

Nawa oo. This is a very ignorant post. So, because of my introverted nature, I will not succeed in any of those 5 careers. Balderdash. You really need to understand that nobody is 100% introverted and introverts do handle themselves well in social situations when they need to do so, usually for their careers and their families. The one about doctors is just silly. As an introvert, I would connect more easily with my patients because in my experience, I v found that I tend to empathize more with people. This would make it easier to form relationships with patients. Also, introverts do smile. Lack of smiling is not a trait of introverted people, but rather a personal choice.

You need to educate yourself more on the subject before coming on NL to put up an article.

Highly disappointing article.

FP, Really?!!!
And who told you nobody is 100% introverted? you've not met lots of people yet. God created various kinds of persons some are 100 phlegmatic.

Before I proceed, please be aware that am not attacking you, at least not aggressively...

1) Are you an introvert? If yes, how did you know? And if an 100% introvert, how did you know you are? If not, then either you refer us to the person who wrote the article, or you answer this question: do you think it is fair that a person from a different perspective speak for another group and make it fact rather than see from theirs?

2) The Tim Lahaye, I respect him, but it's either you (or someone) misinterpreted his book, or he is wrong to make an assumption on behalf of more than 7 billion people in the world based on some few thousands he researched. Or maybe he really didn't make it fact, his theory is "if people have one tendency to do this, then they are more likely to have more tendencies to do that"

3) I would have supported your post a little ... if it didn't make some wrong assumptions that people having over the years always had about introverts (once again, are you one?)

1. MARKETTING: ....
You are bad at relating with strangers, you find it difficult to smile
without a reason and to crown it all you
are a pessimist which means you have no
option than to fail at this

tongue but sir, why didn't you tell me options are finished, my igbo brothers can manufacture new ones

2. MEDICINE: ....
The warm
smiles, the jovial attitudes, the lively and
fun personalities of the extroverts do have
a psychological effect on patients whether
you choose to believe it or not and you
clearly don’t possess any of these
qualities.

wink "clearly" abi? Please the writer should send us his personal goggles, maybe then I will clearly see where I lost my N20 I wanted to buy groundnut with the other day.

3. ACTING: ....

How do you
handle the limelight attentions, interviews,
exposure and some of the hazards that
come with being a celebrity. Well since you
have a knack for depression, what
becomes of you when your daily life is
being dissected and misconstrued by the
public via social media on a daily basis?
I’m looking at a scenario where you call it
quits at the peak of your acting career
because of depression and the public
poking into your dear private life which is
such a shame if you ask me

shocked seriously?

4. POLITICS: ....

Why should you be thinking of
this when you are a greenhorn at cheer
leading and you are socially incapacitated

grin you don't mean it, tell me more

5. BUSINESS
Being successful in business
demands the risk taking habits of socially
inclined people not the pessimic nature of
introverts who will first look at the cons

cheesy what is the pessimic nature you keep talking about, is it a type of food, a skin color, is it something people are born with, is it an atomic bomb... it sounds pretty terrible angry God whyyyyyy.... why did you create me like this... so you mean am stuck as a worker and I can never be an entrepreneur, you mean I can't achieve my dreams because I have a "personality handicap"

In conclusion, being an introvert, even 100%, is not an handicap.
An extrovert can and will also fail in these professions if they don't do well.
And guess what, from my personal experience, what I've seen others, and research I made which you can also make... three strengths (among others) of an introvert are writing, speaking and acting... and creativity. As a matter of fact, an introvert is more likely to succeed at anything if they put their mind to it.

Hay, guess what, Bill Gates and Nelson Mandela are introverts... don't argue this one, I have their books on my table here.

So in the end, just admit that you copied the post from somewhere... and we can all be friends again cool
before the pros
your attempt at showing how clever you are was futile. First we aren't friends and 2nd I didn't copy. I don't expect you to believe me cos most copy and paste bloggers have made originality a trash. you mentioned bill gates and Mandela they told you they were 100% phlegs? try next time bro

I'm an introvert and a medical student, in all my 21 years of life I've only had about 10 friends and Keep in touch with only one of them, there are about 70 students in my class but I only talk to less than 5 of them, my hobbies are being alone with my laptop and reading medical books. You can't say introverts can't be doctors because from my experience in clinical rounds patients prefer a serious person who knows what he is doing to a jovial person who doesn't know sh*t, being an introvert doesn't mean I can't show sympathy and kindness to sick people or drop a few smiles here and there when it's needed, I'm an introvert not a cruel person, people confuse introverts with the devil these days.....ignorance, before you jump into conclusions, ask introverts

If you can do all those things listed there without hassles then you probably have some extrovert tendencies, a pure introvert will never attempt marketing or politics. The fear of associating with public strange faces is enough discouragement.

Anyone on earth can be whoever he or she wants to be.
Bill Gates is an introvert but yet he is the richest man in the world. The products of one of his many business empire is the avenue you are using to type rubbish. Note Nelson Mandela was an introvert and he led the emancipation of South Africa from white minority rule and served as South Africa’s first black president. And you say an introvert cant succeed in Politics you need to check yourself well.

What do Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg all have in common? In addition to being some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world, all three are introverts.
Re: 5 Careers/jobs To Avoid As An Introvert by Nobody: 1:31pm On Jan 08, 2017
lacasera14:
Being an introvert is a lot more trouble by
default, from people miscontruing your
silence and quiet disposition for an awful
snub to people thinking you are too full of
yourself or you are so weird. You don’t
want to compound issues for yourself by
towing a career path meant for gregarious
extroverts? Do you? I didn’t think so either.
So except you want to become an extrovert
overnight, here are top 5 Jobs or Careers
you should avoid.
Caveat: this list are for 100% introverts
with no extroverted tendencies whatsoever. As we all know, some people are actually a blend of
the both temperaments.

1. MARKETTING: This jobs is quite tasking
even the outgoing type gets depleted by it
occasionally, you don’t want to be found
here trust me. You are bad at relating with
strangers, you find it difficult to smile
without a reason and to crown it all you
are a pessimist which means you have no
option than to fail at this, so no matter how
juicy and tempting the price is; never
venture into it. Asides from you being a
loser, plunging into depression is certain.
You are an introvert.

2. MEDICINE: Granted, you are well endowed
with intellect and you can concentrate for
long hours reading, you have few friends,
you rarely socialize so books are your best
buddies but you see being a doctor or
nurse demands more than that even though
studying is the most imperative. The warm
smiles, the jovial attitudes, the lively and
fun personalities of the extroverts do have
a psychological effect on patients whether
you choose to believe it or not and you
clearly don’t possess any of these
qualities. You might turnout to be a great
Doc or nurse but don’t be surprised when a
patient gets a heart attack because of that
constant scowl on your face.

3. ACTING: So you use to act playlets way
back as a kid and no doubt you are
talented, you now feel acting is the way to
go, sorry friend, it’s a wrong call you about
to make. you could act back then because
you are in a familiar environment and you
are less nervous around the people you
know. Acting as a career will not give you
that familiar audience to show your talent.
What if you hit stardom? How do you
handle the limelight attentions, interviews,
exposure and some of the hazards that
come with being a celebrity. Well since you
have a knack for depression, what
becomes of you when your daily life is
being dissected and misconstrued by the
public via social media on a daily basis?
I’m looking at a scenario where you call it
quits at the peak of your acting career
because of depression and the public
poking into your dear private life which is
such a shame if you ask me. So better
don’t go in.

4. POLITICS: Why should you be thinking of
this when you are a greenhorn at cheer
leading and you are socially incapacitated.
If you manage to pull through in all the
numerous campaign outings and you are
finally elected be it at any level of politics,
how many ceremonial invitations that
requires your presence and functions are
you going to turn down on the grounds of
emotionally drained batteries? Or perhaps
you want your deputy to steal the show
and probably buy the hearts of legislators
to impeach you. Politics requires an
outgoing charisma, a flair for unionism and
a love for limelight. So it doesn’t matter if
you have the passion to liberate your
people from the shackles of whatever that
has held them bound or you have big
dreams of making your constituency
enviable, you lack the temperament for it.
If the drive is so strong on your inside, you
can ally with a sociable person that you
can influence or walk your way to being
appointed as a special adviser in a relevant
field.

5. BUSINESS : Being successful in business
demands the risk taking habits of socially
inclined people not the pessimic nature of
introverts who will first look at the cons
before the pros. They suffer from
uncertainty and indecision which will in the
long run jeopardize chances of major
breakthrough in business. Since you often
lack self motivation, any storm in business
might throw you off balance causing you to
probably give up too soon and plunge into
depression or make you seek for
alternatives abandoning the present
course. Your low social life also affects
your interaction with customers, people
would prefer to rather patronize a friendly
person’s business rather your withdrawn
introverted self. Most of the crumbled
businesses you see around are as a result
of some introverts who got doomed by
their own temperaments because they
treaded the wrong path.

In conclusion it is salient to know your
strengths and weakness and go for what
works you. Your passion should be your
fuel in the drive to success. Good luck!!!
