Anime title: Kuzu no Honkai(Based on the manga of the same name)

What is the anime about:

Hanabi and Mugi , two seventeen year olds. The perfect couple. Both dating each other. Everyone at their school thinks they are in love. But the truth is.....both of them are in love with other people. Hanabi loves her homeroom teacher, and Mugi is in love with the new lady music teacher in the school.And it seems homeroom teacher more than likes the music teacher.....

And both of them are dating each other as replacements for the ones they truly love.

(Oh dear).

First impressions: Looks like it is going to be a sad romance anime. The first episode does a good job of not only introducing the characters, but also their motivations. It also establishes that Hanabi and her homeroom teacher have one thing in common....both are children of single parents....and both have known each other since Hanabi was little....and the teacher was her good friend and often good counselor.

I think this is going to be a coming of age anime...where the two main characters learn some lessons in love, sacrifice, and sorrow.

The animation is by Studio Lerche, responsible for many hits including last season's Ansatsu Kyōshitsu
