Nike Osofisan National Girls in ICT Day is a project initiated by Computer Guild of Nigeria aim at propagating and promoting girls in ICT education across the country.
Nowadays, ICT is of utmost importance towards knowledge acquisition especially among the girls. Nigerians are gradually and steadily pushing the interest of our girls in ICT to the background. It is dangerous to and for our future. That is why we want to use this project “Nike Osofisan National Girls in ICT Day” to promote, enhance and encourage a girl child to go into ICT.
The project hopes to collaborate with the state branches of the Computer Guild of Nigeria across the Federation.
We have set aside 11th of March of every year for the event (which is the birth date of Prof. (Mrs) Nike Osofisan)..

It will also be an avenue of promoting girls in ICT education across the country. Nike Osofisan National Girls in ICT Day will be celebrated in schools, offices, markets etc. Organizers can organize ICT seminars, workshops, fora, symposia and conferences to fulfill the day.
