How can u tell all cocoa farmers to cum to Ondo state to launch a programme they are not sure is different from d ones from d past. I think if any government wants to succeed in agriculture, the FG should focus on getting international off-takers for whatever we will produce tru bilateral agreements, invite investors to set up chocolate companies or even support indigenous ones with incentives n den set up a commodity board where government can buy at a price a bit lower dan d international market price, the government should den leave every other thing to the local government, they can employ young graduates as extension officers to work in various LGs tru n dey can deploy tractors, fertilisers, improve seedlings etc through them. If they can do this, den d sky is our starting point. Else we will just push people to d farm n there will b no market for their products n we will b back to ground zero.

Thats if the traditional cocoa farmers will take their minds away from oil and the Niger Delta
The earlier you understand that development of a nation is as a result of Good governance and less of Natural resource the better. The Malaysia we run to today does not have natural resources as we do,but they are miles ahead of Us.
Countries like singapore,Thailand has no oil,but are doing far better than Nigeria.
