Dont worry man u'll get over it. Take imipramine 25mg first day, 50mg second day and 75mg third day and continue with 75mg for at least two months. Pls see a psychiatric doc to approve this. Note dat the drug takes time to work and u may feel worse the first few days

Why dont you talk to your personal doctor Im sure they can refer you to their Psychiatrist
I dont know any private clinics but i know there is Yaba Psychiatric clinic, at harley street yaba in Lagos. Thats the only one that I can think of for now or try going to luth at idi araba at surulere.

Try and take it easy and dont think too much, Keep urself engaged in things u like doing and take things one at a time, you will definitely get better.

what the heck is that if you dont have any meaningful contribution, then dont mislead the poster

@quest003
why is it important you visit a private psychiatric hospital, you can try out THE FEDERAL NEURO-PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL,YABA popularly known as "yaba west". i dont want to believe they treat only mad people. you can try their hotline; 01-7744570 and ask which type of treatment best suits you.
good luck.

You are probably suffering from social anxiety.

Go to google and search "social anxiety" or "social phobia".

I too suffer from it. There are some medication you can take but its best you see a phychologist as well.

All exercise a lot. It makes you feel better. Jog and do press ups. Press-ups helps you to contain fear.

Hows your relationship with your parents? Are they overprotective? Or over possessive? Or domineering?

Always feel free to email me.

He 'probably' isn't. He didn't give you enough information for you to jump to such a conclusion. Your advice is uninformed.

There is an outpatient psychiatric clinic in abuja when my sister was going though depression we contacted them and the doctor was able to treat her without us even traveling....the doctor (a US trained psychiatrist) was communicating with her via phone and skype...that is something they use at their center they call it telepsychiatry so that they can help people across Nigeria...their website is www.melvillehealthcarecenter.com it was really convinent since she didnt have to leave lagos.
