I just want to know if there are ladies out their who can tell me their good or bad experience with chemical skin peels. Some people have sworn by them. i had one and considering another but my sisters experience didnt really improve her skin. is it okay to have more than one treatment over time? do they really improve the texture of your skin? Who does very good skin peels in Lagos?Please let me know your thoughts, good or bad.

I think it depends on the type of peel and the strength. I have used Lactic Acid peels and Salicylic Acid peels and I personally prefer Salicylic --its better for oily skin, and for Black/African skin types. Best if u use it as part of a skin regimen--and sunscreen is a must.

2 months ago, i started getting salycylic acid and glycolic peels at a spa. glycolic comes from fruit sugars.
i've had 3 peels now. it only takes 30 minutes at the spa i go to. my skin is smoother.


i saw my sister over thanksgiving break and she asked why my skin has gotten dark in just 3 months. i was really surprised becuz i didn't notice any darkening. some say black pple should do peels becuz it may cause hyperpigmentation, darkening the skin.
