I use to run away because of all of the above mentioned but when I finally got all in a checked format guess what the Marshall told me after parking me, that emmm me tires r all expired, abeg chop money no day that list.
I guess this is the problem: the orientation that measures effectiveness not by reduction in vice but by number of offenders prosecuted and amount raised from fines and ... chop money undecided

Many Hausa truck drivers cannot even read and write and they don't know traffic signs and FRSC gave them driver's license.
Twice that I have been to frsc to renew my driver's license i have not met an aboki there for the same purpose.I don't know how they process theirs.

Nigerian police do not adhere to this.

I was once asked for Security clearance by the police in Delta state when travelling.

Security clearance for you or for your car? Please, expansiate.

Nigeria and exploitations nd extortion are like 5 nd 6, if they (d govt)provide commensurate services to the masses for what they collect,it'd b understandable. the most annoying of these is the certificate of road worthiness, are the roads worthy? ain't the roads the ones making our vehicles unworthy?...why collecting worthy money over unworthy thing? angry
Nigeria needs serious cleansing and purging....undecided
grin grin grin no be so, they saw it in the westernized country and they copied. Please forgive and forget grin grin grin

Such a funny country.
Police will check this.
Road safety will check this
VIO will still check the same thing

Yet, accidents still dey happen for our highways anyhow
Even Traffic warden dey check particulars too.

Only "clean cars" have Road Worthiness Cert!

The broken, rickety and dangerous Danfos, Trailers, Kabu-Kabus, Jallopys with no headlamps, No Side Mirrors, No break lights e.t.c are never stopped and taken off the road because the VIO's, Police, FRSC and LASTMA know they can get much money from them but once they see an SUV..... their "ordinary antenna" just changes to "Satellite dish"!
