1. They are Steps and did not grow up together
2. The male suffers from low self esteem and has suffered rejection from the opposite sex
3. The female is unnecessarily close to his step brother who is passing through 2 above
4. The family is a i-don't-care-family where the parents are not always around and the male is passsing through 2 and 3 above
