Fujian Government scholarships: In order to attract more international students to study in Fujian Province and to promote the international exchange and cooperation between Fujian Province and the rest of the world, Fujian government set up Fujian Government scholarships for exceptional international students in undergraduate, mater's or doctoral programmes from 2012.

Scholarship Level: Undergraduate, Master and PhD - Postgraduate

Application deadline: Feb 1st to May 15th, 2017

Host institution: Xiamen University, China

Scholarship degree subject: Fujian Government scholarships for Undergraduate, Master’s and Doctoral programmes to study any course offered by the university

Scholarship benefit(s): The Fujian Government scholarships cover tuition, accommodation fee and cost of course materials for one academic year.

Target Nationality: International applicants except non-Chinese citizens are eligible to apply for the Fujian Government scholarships.

Eligibility: The following eligibility criteria applies:

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the Fujian Government scholarships

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
Educational background and age limits:
Applicants for bachelor’s degree studies must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 30.
Applicants for master’s degree studies must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
Application information:

Applicants are eligible for Fujian Government scholarships assessment only after they are admitted to the undergraduate, master's or doctoral programme of Xiamen University. (Application guidelines for undergraduate programmes / master’s programmes / doctoral programmes 2017 are available at http://admissions.xmu.edu.cn )

1) Applicants are required to make online application at http://admissions.xmu.edu.cn/application

and then download and print out the Application Form for International Students generated upon successful online application.

2) Applicants can fill in and print out the Application Form for Fujian Provincial Government Scholarship(click to download).

3) Submission of application documents:

Send by post to XMU's Admissions Office the two forms and other required documents. Application documents should reach the Office before the deadline. When mailing application documents from mainland China, EMS mailing service is highly recommended as to ensure timely and efficient delivery of your package.
