Hmmmm............ undecided

What were they expecting? When they were allowing real human beings to be skewered and roasted like suya, you now want them to be landing passengers both local and international in A state where the governor has no issues brewing religious/ethnic crisis with his ridiculous tweets?? angry

Of all the Airports for this life, na Kaduna....... embarassed

Trust me, this people are a whole lot safer landing via parachute in sambisa forest and finding their level than in Kaduna right now, believe you me........... angry

When they were paying fulani herdsmen for widespread killings in Kaduna they did not know it will come to this.

What alternatives do they have? People must travel (by air) to Abuja, and the closest airport (I dare say) is the Kaduna Airport.
Well, if they cannot use the Kaduna Airport, they should "offload" their passengers at MMA, while local carriers like Arik shunt the passengers to Kaduna (from where the passengers will enter cabs (or kabu kabu) to Abuja!

Easy for you to say. It's not like you have a million dollar business to loose to boko-haram terrorist should something go wrong.

I understand that you're trying to market Biafra but how does this make any sense? You expect passengers enroute to Abuja to stop at Enugu and then make the rest of the journey (which is a 5 hours) by road? Bad road for that matter.
saintneo:

They better use Enugu Airport. Lagos is heavily congested; however, Enugu is not, there are several hotels with 5-star service in Enugu and safety in Enugu is guaranteed.

No I don't; but I gave them a suggestion. Stop ur flight at MMA, and let d local airlines make the Kaduna journey. Minna airport which would have been the closest is encumbered with bad road! So I ask again... "What alternatives do they have?"

Road link between Enugu and Abuja is not good....and there is no rail link.

That's the problem....and hence my solution.

Kaduna was mentioned...because there is a dual-carrigeway between Kaduna and Abuja, it takes 2 -3 hours to travel the road....and there is a rail link too. Enugu-Abuja....problems dey along the route.

1.Going via Plateau-Nass-Benue...is not safe too. Security issues dey....plus the road is single track...and not too good.

2.Going via Lokoja-Benue....the road is bad , especially after Ajaokuta.

3.Enugu is further away from Abuja than Kaduna.

In a way...we are paying for failures to plan since 1976...when the Abuja idea began.

The midget posing as governor of Kaduna was myopic and engrossed with the killing of Southern Kaduna people that he never saw this coming. Now sensible people who values life don't wanna have anything to do with the midget.

When people complain about some ills in the government, it's not always about politics. When Christians were being slaughtered in southern kaduna some people kept mute and did "eyes right" as if they didn't know what was happening.

The whole world was watching. Now after allowing the perpetrators to go scotch free and even paid some of them for killing you think foreigners will feel safe again? No way.

They'll equally think that once they get kidnapped or killed the government will only pay the perpetrators so they won't kill again. Everyone is scared of Kaduna state right now.

Kudos to Elrufai

At least we now know that the Whole World is Watching in 3D. Genocide loading .......

Even me would not fly into Kaduna. This is a ploy to develop Kaduna Airport into an international airport, while the airports in Enugu and PH are left to rot...El Rufai is a bigot.

Nigeria the country of stupidity. Never ready for now or later, buffoonery reigns supreme, a hopeless country in many ramifications, a country where you doubt the potency of 95% of the educational degrees, a country where corruption is in all sectors of living, a fake country in my opinion, a sad country.

I only contribute or only interested in Nigeria because i am a team player. shikena

Baba God i don't want to kill myself, but if there is an after life, don't even think about bringing me to Nigeria. I will rather prefer hell fire because Nigeria is similar to hell fire, but hell fire might be a little better. If I cannot be in a serious, intelligent, hopeful, vision thinking and doing country; then make me be like the air or water.

Rubbish.

I'm not interested in marketing Biafra, I just want to move half of the businesses in Lagos to Enugu cheesy grin The people needing to be at Abuja quickly should fly on a helicopter. Else, they should conduct their businesses in Enugu.

Is ok now, let them land at any airport they want to, if they like they should land at ekiti airport then the passengers should take bus to Abuja, because no matter what threat the renovation will go on, is better to lose customer than lose lives

This is purely a business decision .

Kaduna is just 180Km away from Abuja
Kaduna has the fourth best runway in Nigeria
Kaduna has a dual carriage express way to Abuja
Kaduna has a standard fully air-conditioned train to Abuja, moving at a speed of 120km per hour and go as much as 200km per hr

Ethiopian airline and Egypt air have already erected their stand in kaduna airport, this boycott will be a gain to them
Kaduna and Niger(minna) which is closer n safer

It has now been established that Nigeria is a failed nation.

Last month I flew by air to Abuja and noticed the poor state of the Abuja runway. It was literally in ruins, very badly cracked.

Now the question is , why wasn't it noticed in time? Shouldn't there a routine check of emthe runway? If this was noticed at least a year earlier, at least they would have commenced construction of another runway so as to avoid total complete shut down of the airport.

Cursed nation, cursed leaders.

The previous admin tried to fix the runway....but problems apparently arose regarding funding the thing.

Minna has an airport....but the road between Minna and Abuja is not exactly good....and it is single lane...unlike Kaduna-Abuja which is a dual carriageway, (and there is a direct rail link too)

This people thinks, Airport business is just getting a runway.

Airport business is Tourism and number one factor in tourism is public perception. Foreigners dont know Southern Kaduna or North, all they know is that people were killed in Kaduna and therefore it is not a safe landing area no matter if it have best dual carriage or runway
