Defensive errors have haunted Liverpool all season as their title challenge fades away but against Tottenham on Saturday they seemingly hit upon a new masterplan. And it was weird.

After racing into a 2-0 lead at Anfield thanks to two goals from Sadio Mane, the Reds were being put under pressure by their visitors, for whom Christian Eriksen is always a threat from set-pieces.

And, presumably ordered to do so by Jurgen Klopp, when Liverpool were required to defend a free-kick from Eriksen on the edge of the box, Philippe Coutinho took up a bizarre position crouched BEHIND the wall.
