This was the eye opener for me:

Quran 34:50

”Say: If I am astray, I only stray to the loss of my own soul: but if I receive guidance it is because of the
inspiration of my lord to me; it is he who hears all things and is ever near”

Now, consider for just one minute how immensely illogical and downright stupid this passage is.

Picture this scenario. Let’s assume I am leading a team of adventurers through a wilderness and I have a
map on me which only I can read and understand. I’m supposed to use the map to lead my team out of
the wilderness before nightfall to avoid being eaten by wild animals. Time has been passing but we don’t
seem to be able to find our way out of the bush and one of my fellow adventurers asks me: “Are you
sure your map is not leading us astray?”

How stupid would it sound if I answered him in the following manner: “If I am astray, only I will suffer
the consequences. It will be my own loss.”

Of course anyone with a basic IQ would know at once that EVERYONE who has been relying on me for
guidance will also go astray if I go astray. If I make a blunder in my map reading WE ALL will face the
consequences.

Back to our quranic passage, if Muhammad is wrong about islam, EVERYONE who follows his example
will be led astray, not just Muhammad. After all the quran describes muhamad as the perfect example
for muslims to follow:

Quran 33:21

“Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern of conduct for anyone whose hop is in
Allah and the Final day and who engages much in the praise of Allah”

I’ve come across HUNDREDS of such absurdities and inconsistencies in the quran
