Jude Okwudili, a Lagos-based photographer and videographer in the course of his business activities in the commercial capital of Nigeria was touched by the legal survival skills of a homeless teenage boy struggling to make ends meet amid scarce economic resources.

Pelumo is one of the millions of homeless kids in Nigeria with a bleak future following his humble and broken family background. The energetic small man left the largest city in West Africa, Ibadan, for greener pastures in Lagos.

He is currently working on the Victoria Island axis of Lagos as a Squeegee boy also known as windscreen cleaner from where he fends for himself with the meagre funds he makes. The vulnerable kid passes the night unsafely on the street.

Vibrant photographer, Jude Okwudili recently spotted him and shared a brief information about Pelumo (possibly Pelumi - a South-western name from the Yoruba tribe) after a parley with him.

Pelumo hopes to become a lawyer but his big dreams seem to be diminishing by the day as he lacks the financial strength to put himself through school. There are fears that crime might be introduced to the vulnerable boy by unscrupulous people corrupting innocent minds like him for their personal gains.

Read his Instagram post below:

"Meet Pelumo, 15yrs old boy from Ibadan whose room is the police signpost just by shoprite road at four point VI. According to him, his Dad and Mum are separated and he has had to fend for himself.

He makes a living wiping windscreens and hoping someone throws any denomination his side. He dreams of being a lawyer, a dream that might still come to pass. I believe in miracles and the positive power of social media. @lenixtv and I has his story recorded and hopefully someone, somehow will hear it. Until then, we go still dey do the small wey we fit."
