I already understand it. I enjoy watching the shock when I say Jesus doesn't exist or ask them "what is the benefit of serving god"?

The atheists have said that god(s) is an idea, and that the whole rituals packaged as religion, are mostly illusionary and delusional.

And because of this conclusion by the atheists, the theists in response, also conclude that the atheists are fools, for lacking belief in the existence of god.

To the theists therefore, what can possibly be the wisdom in or benefits of:

* believing in god(s)
* worshipping/serving god
* performing religious rituals

The religious folks are under the illusion of thinking that there exist, a god that sees everything, hears every conversation, knows every thought and can do anything.

This informs the irrational and morbid fears, that rules the lives the religious.

They are deceived to think that their god make all things happen, and that nothing happens without its permission.

But in reality, nothing can be far from truth, than these assumptions.

Life without god is robustly rewarding, satisfying and peaceful.

Serving god bears no beneficial rewards, other than the momentary numbing, denial, rationalization of painful experiences. Just like opium.
