Adama Barrow has finally been inaugurated as Gambia' President amid the large turnout by excited citizens of the country. Adama was sworn-in weeks ago in Senegal during a power tussle, but he was officially inaugurated today the 18th of February which is also the date Zambia got their Independence from Great Britain which explains the large turnout of the citizen of the country(Gambia).

The inauguration ceremony took place at the independence stadium in Bakau, the ceremony was attended by the creme-de-la-cremes of Africa, also in attendance was former leader Dawda Jawara who ruled the country from 1965 when it became independent up untill 1994 when he was dethrone by Yahya Jammeh after a coup in 1994.

Barrow had defeated Jammeh at the the ballot box, but the latter had refused to step down from office until he was pressured by external bodies. Jammeh had since left the country in Tinubu"s private jet for exile after ruling it for over 22 years, since then nothing have been heard of the estranged former presidents.

According to news news24 Diplomats from the US and UK found it difficult to enter the stadium due to the large amount of people who had crowded the stadium, as people had stated arriving the stadium as early as 03.am in the morning with some people even sleeping in the stadium last nights, so as to get a good sit inside the stadium.

"To whom much is given much is also expected from," that will be the situation Barrow will be facing as he ascend the presidential hot-seat of a nation with a struggling economy plagued by poverty of the masses.

Truly to whom much is given, much is expected. Hope Barrow will sustain these people's smiles. Make them not to regret voting him in.
