Please let us earn our own US Dollars and stop depending on CBN or the BDC's. CBN or the BDC's can never meet the US Dollar demand of Nigerian travellers (especially if you add the travellers going to visit Buhari in the United Kingdom), Nigerian manufacturers and Nigerian importers who are now importing garri. If just 15,000 Nigerians at home and abroad click the link on my signature and start earning US Dollars everyday do you know the positive effect it would have on the naira? |

CBN has to free the market. Let the BDCs build up alliances with money transfer outfits abroad to sell naira to them. Also the market for money transfer should be open. 1 Like |

CBN should liberalise the fX market BDCs should be allowed to make alliances with money transfer outfits abroad to generate their dollar supply More money transfer firms should be allowed into the market |

dollar shortage is because no new investment is coming in & those on ground are skeptical about bringing in more because they can see that this regime has no economic plan. people often say that the dollars is kept by those who looted. fine. so because of that, won't this regime implement policies to allow new investments into the country or at least allow those already in expand operations? furthermore, CBN in cohorts with most banks seem to be selling dollars mainly to those who are not contributing anything to the economy. if genuine businesses had access to fx, it would go a long way to mitigating the present challenges... for instance, PMB's extended holiday/sick leave would cost Nigerian taxpayers between £1m-£2m (about N600m-N1.2b) & that is being conservative... just imagine if the money spent there was utilised in Nigeria... |
